Cory Mayo

Cory Mayo has songwriting in his blood. The son of songwriter Danny Mayo, and the brother of Aimee Mayo, Corey made his own mark by penning “You’ll Be There’ for George Strait. The song was released in March 2005 as the lead single from Strait’s album, Somewhere Down in Texas. It was a major hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart and on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Mayo also co-wrote two songs featured on the ABC television smash hit "Nashville": "This Town" and "Tell Me." These tracks were included in "The Music of Nashville: Original Soundtrack Season 2, Volume 1," performed by cast members Clare Bowen, Charles Esten, and Aubrey Peeples. Mayo, along with co-writer Jaida Dreyer, were the only songwriters to have two songs on the album.
